Hello

We have a goat that wanders into the campground every now and then. The story is that the county has tag and released about 3 of them. The idea is that they will keep some of the grasses down. Our neighbor calls it a doat, because the hind end looks like a deer.

We missed the Lamardigras parade, but went to the festivities that were in the big tent. They had a few crafts, food, donation card games, silent auction, raffles, a few bands, and interesting people walking around. It was quite entertaining!!

Whooping Cranes

Tanker passing by
We saw 3 Whooping Cranes in the field not too far from the Lamardigras. Then a few days later we went to the beach again. As we were on the ferry we had to dodge the Big Tanker that went through.
Dog Day at the Beach
Back at the Ranch, Mandi had fun with the Water Sprinkler.

Beautiful Kites
We were driving, and had to stop to watch the kites, very cool!!! All on one string!
Our friends from Minnesota, that are staying in the Hill Country, came down to get a Beach Fix. We had a nice get together with them at one of our favorite Fish and Chips restaurant. Then we walk the beach with them for a while. There was tons of seaweed that had washed up on shore. But a week later when we were at the beach it was mostly gone. I'm not sure if it was washed back to the Gulf or if it was removed by machine. Spring Break time is here, so it's good that it is gone!
Last weekend our friends Barb and Jeff came down. If they give me permission, I will post a picture of them eating an oyster on the half shell!! Funnnnnnnyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!-Later-M
